Out of all four seasons, fall is probably my favorite by far. I’m obsessed with the crisp cool air, the ability to wear jeans again, and the cozy sweatshirts that are to die for. The only downside about the weather cooling down is that it also means it’s cold and flu season. Before the flu season really gets going, I want to share with you how I’m preparing for flu season this year with Sam’s Club.
Every year, I add a line on my To Do list to make sure that I stop by Sam’s Club for my yearly flu shot and to stock up on the essentials that my family might need in the upcoming months. As a busy pharmacist, I’ve come to quickly realized that I don’t have the extra time to make multiple trips to the store to stock up on the necessities. I love being able to shop at Sam’s Club because it’s so convenient being able to knock out two birds with one stone by grabbing everything that I need at one place and getting my flu shot. A few things that I always keep in my flu sick kit are pain relievers, Vitamin C, guaifenesin, cough drops, and of course the combination cough and cold products. Those are usually the things that I reach for the most whenever Nci or I get sick.
Being a healthcare professional, getting my flu shot every year is especially important to me. Not only do I interact with sick patients on a regular basis with my position, but I also do it to protect my family members who can’t get the flu shot due to multiple health reasons. When I arrived for my appointment, I didn’t have to fill out any paperwork in the store, and I was able to head on my merry way very quickly.
