Happy Monday sweet friends! It’s been a while since my last life update, and I have very exciting news to share in today’s post! This summer has been a bit of a personal rollercoaster for me between my chaotic work life and my rediscovery/redirection of my blog. But I can’t wait to let you guys in more and share what’s been going on over the last few months.
I ACCEPTED A NEW JOB
Lately, I’ve been feeling ready to leave my chain retail job for something that fits my personality better. Which is part of the exciting news because I’m happy to announce that I accepted a new job, literally a week before I left for Johannesburg. This role honestly is my dream job and fits my personality so much better! I’ll be working in a pharmacy that is a combination of hospice and compounding.
WE WENT TO JOHANNESBURG
A few weeks ago, Nci and I traveled to Johannesburg for a little over two weeks. If you’re a new reader, you probably don’t know that Nci is from South Africa, and a lot of his family lives in Joburg currently. I’ve never been to South Africa or met his family in person before, so this trip was a mix of meeting the family and sightseeing around the city. We had a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to go back! Over the next week or so, I’ll be posting more content from our time in Joburg if you want to bookmark the recommendations for later.
I TOOK A BLOGGING COURSE
Over the summer, I invested in my brand with a blogging course that really opened up my eyes to a lot of different things that I could do better on when it comes to my platform. One thing that I didn’t realize that I struggled so much with was my niche and my target audience. At the beginning of my blogging journey, I was writing mostly about college with a sprinkle of pharmacy content. As I peered deeper into my content, I realized that I used to be all over the place with my content. After taking the course, I’ve gotten crystal clear with who I want to serve and how. You might’ve already noticed the change already in my content!
EXCITED FOR FALL
Spring and fall are probably my favorite seasons because I love the cooler weather and the nice crisp in the air. I’m already looking at pumpkin patches and apple pitching activities to do in the area. What do you guys like to do in the fall season? While I’m not a big fan of Halloween or being scared, I definitely want to do some fun fall activities this year with family and friends.
Keep your eyes peel over the next couple of months because there are a few exciting projects coming up that I can’t wait to share. I hope that you guys had an amazing summer and leave a comment below with something fun that you did or happened to you recently.
