This is my first traffic and income report for my little project that I started in late May! I am super pumped to show you guys and to document my journey on here for you and for myself. I used to have a blogger blog back in high school, but it was a total fail. Well, not entirely a fail because I learned some valuable lessons from it. I started this new blog because I wanted to try at it again and to hopefully one day make a 6-figure income from it. If you want to see my journey, then keep on reading…
If you’re not a fellow blogger, then these might come off as quite strange. But let me explain why I want to start doing these reports for you all.
1. Growth Tracking- These reports will allow me to see my growth in traffic and income over time. Most other bloggers only start posting these reports once they start making money, but everyone has to start from the bottom before they reach the top. I hope that these reports help inspire other bloggers that you can eventually make money through blogging
2. Transparency- There are a ton of ways to make money through blogging, some that are honest and some that aren’t. I want to be totally honest in how I make money, where I get the money from, and that this blog is legit. No funny business here, I promise!
What I Did This Month
This month I mainly focused on producing different types of content to see what my readers enjoyed the most from me. I haven’t been posting consistently due to my hectic schedule this month, but I am hoping to start posting more regularly and on a more consistent schedule.
I started a Pinterest Group Board for fellow millennial bloggers as well as started a Facebook group for my blog. I even opened a Twitter account, which is so crazy because I never thought I would get into it. But it’s actually quite fun! Most of my traffic comes from Pinterest and Facebook, but I hope to expand to have more traffic from my Instagram account.
Next month, I hope to do some sponsored posts as well as start working on a few guest posts to allow more readers to see my content.
May & June Social Media Report
This month, I really tried to focusing on my social media accounts and engaging with fellow bloggers to hopefully start building my own little community. I’m usually not a big social media person because I’m an introvert. But this year my goal for myself was to come out of my shell and meet new people so I created this blog to do just that. So here are my current stats for my social media accounts:
Instagram: 700 –> 727 Goal for Next Month: 750
Facebook: 0 –> 191 Goal for Next Month: 300
Pinterest: 90 –> 226 Goal for Next Month: 300
Twitter: 53 –> 95 Goal for Next Month: 150
May & June Income & Traffic Report
This is the first month that my blog has been live so unfortunately, I haven’t made any income yet from it. But I still want to showcase the amount of traffic that my little slice of the internet has gotten so far. I am pretty proud of the growth, but I definitely want my next month goal to be 200 pageviews a day. My first blog post went live on March 25, 2017 so the traffic shown below is from March 25th through June 30th. 
As you can see, my traffic had a big spike then had a slow stead climb over time. I hope to keep the climb going by being more active on my social media accounts as well as keep posting great content.
